| How to use the bug tracking system! - 2008-06-16 15:12 - Maniacikarus [Announcement] |
| This is shortly summarized the workflow of the bugtracker: The so called "reporter" reports an issue. (Important for this is that he has tried to clean up his or her system and describes all steps to reproduce the bug exactly! Please fill all fields correctly and most of them as you can!) This issue is then reported to the developers by email. In the next step, a developer who knows the problem or the manager of the bugtracker assigns the bug to himself or a person who did possibly a mistake or developer who maintains the particular part of the project. Now, the developer examines the bug issue, reproduces the bug and resolves the problem. It is possible to reassign the bug to another person. Both, the developer and reporter have to keep an eye on the bug issue to handle questions and feedback. When the problem was resolved, remember to set the status to "resolved". After that, the reporter has to check again if the solution works! Give feedback! If everything went fine the isse can be closed! |
